Luke 24
:19 He asked them, “What are they?” They replied, “Those concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a prophet, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people.” The disciples’ understanding of Jesus until his death was that he was a prophet, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people. None of his disciples believed he was God, at least until the end of Luke’s Gospel. However, there are verses in John’s Gospel that have been misunderstood, and I have already explained their correct meaning.

Luke 24:51 While he was blessing them, he withdrew from them and was taken up into heaven. Luke 24:19-51
The verb “was taken up” is in the passive voice. If Jesus were God, he would have ascended himself and no one else would have taken him up to heaven.
Luke 24
