I’m a christian  & I believe that:

(Matthew Chapter 1:)

(1) The birth-book of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraam.

(18) The birth of Jesus Christ was thus: Mary his mother having been betrothed to Joseph, before they knew each other she was found with child from the Holy Spirit.

(19) And Joseph her husband was righteous, and not wishing to make her a public example, he intended to put her away secretly.

(20) And he having thought about these things, behold an angel of the Lord manifested himself to Joseph in a dream, saying: Joseph, son of David, fear not to take to thee Mary, thy wife: for he whom she will bear is from the Holy Spirit.

(21) And she shall bear a son; thou shalt call his name “Jesus;” for he will save his people from their sins.’

(23) Behold, the virgin shall conceive, and shall bear a son, they shall call his name “Emmanuel,” which ‘is interpreted “God with us.”‘

(24) And Joseph having risen from the sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him, and he took to him Mary his wife.

(25) And he knew her not until she bare the son; and he called his name Jesus.’

Does this mean that they knew each other later?

Emmanuel,” which ‘is interpreted “God with us.”:

Is it a literal expression?

and he took to him Mary his wife:

Was she his wife?

And he knew her not until…:

Does “until” mean that he knew her “after”…?

1 كِتَابُ مِيلاَدِ يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ ابْنِ دَاوُدَ ابْنِ إِبْراهِيمَ: 16 وَيَعْقُوبُ وَلَدَ يُوسُفَ رَجُلَ مَرْيَمَ الَّتِي وُلِدَ مِنْهَا يَسُوعُ الَّذِي يُدْعَى الْمَسِيحَ. 18 أَمَّا وِلاَدَةُ يَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ فَكَانَتْ هكَذَا: لَمَّا كَانَتْ مَرْيَمُ أُمُّهُ مَخْطُوبَةً لِيُوسُفَ، قَبْلَ أَنْ يَجْتَمِعَا، وُجِدَتْ حُبْلَى مِنَ الرُّوحِ الْقُدُسِ. 21 فَسَتَلِدُ ابْنًا وَتَدْعُو اسْمَهُ يَسُوعَ. لأَنَّهُ يُخَلِّصُ شَعْبَهُ مِنْ خَطَايَاهُمْ». 22 وَهذَا كُلُّهُ كَانَ لِكَيْ يَتِمَّ مَا قِيلَ مِنَ الرَّبِّ بِالنَّبِيِّ الْقَائِلِ: 23 «هُوَذَا الْعَذْرَاءُ تَحْبَلُ وَتَلِدُ ابْنًا، وَيَدْعُونَ اسْمَهُ عِمَّانُوئِيلَ» الَّذِي تَفْسِيرُهُ: اَللهُ مَعَنَا. 24 فَلَمَّا اسْتَيْقَظَ يُوسُفُ مِنَ النَّوْمِ فَعَلَ كَمَا أَمَرَهُ مَلاَكُ الرَّبِّ، وَأَخَذَ امْرَأَتَهُ. 25 وَلَمْ يَعْرِفْهَا حَتَّى وَلَدَتِ ابْنَهَا الْبِكْرَ. وَدَعَا اسْمَهُ يَسُوعَ.  إنجيل متى25,24,23,22,21,18,16,1:1

قبل أن يجتمعا هل معناها أنهما اجتمعا بعد هذا؟

عمانوييل: الله معنا: هل هو تعبير حرفي أم معنوي؟

حتى ولدت إبنها البكر:

هل عرفها بعد الولادة؟

تعبير “رجل مريم” ما مداه؟

تعبير “قبل أن يجتمعا” هل معناه أنهما اجتمعا بعدها؟

كان لابد أن يتم الزواج حتى لا تحدث فضيحة، ولكن ما مداه؟
